Stark Still in AFS Badger Midget Series Lead
(June 4, 2024)
Kyle Stark maintains a slim, 12 point lead over Cody Weisensel and four more points over Matt Rechek going into this weekend's doubleheader for the Advanced Fastening Supply Badger Midget Series.
Stark had a DNF last Sunday at Angell Park, while Rechek had the best run of the top-three in points finishing third. Weisensel was scored in seventh at Sun Prairie.
RJ Corson who missed the last race dropped from third to fifth, while Todd Kluever, on the strength of a sixth place finish at the last race, moved into the fourth spot in points.
Last week's winner, Parker Jones, makes it five different feature winners for the five races run in 2024. He also moved to sixth in the points race.
NOTES
Joel Willman reports feeling "pretty good," after his contact with the tires guarding the inside jersey barriers on the front stretch and subsequent flip, last Sunday.
Plans are being finalized for the inaugural Badger Midget Auto Racing Hall of Fame induction ceremonies. They will be held on July 28th. Badger, the Wisconsin wingLESS Sprints, the Midwest Legends Dirt Series and vintage cars are all on the slate at Angell Park Speedway that evening. It is also the annual Badger Racers Reunion.
UP NEXT
Badger rolls into Sycamore Speedway this Saturday, June 8 and then heads to Sun Prairie and Angell Park Speedway the next night. We'll post details on Friday.
