"McDermand & Nick Baran to decide Badger title next Saturday at Sycamore” “Pry-Bar & AFS increase purse”
Sycamore, IL, Sept. 17--- For the eleventh time in the 84-year history of the Badger Midget Series, the State of Illinois will determine the season champion. Next Saturday, September 26 the Sycamore Speedway will host Badger's final event for the 2020 season. It marks the first time since 2017 and just the fifth time in 41-years that a race track in Illinois will be doing so.
Pry-Bar has posted bonuses for the first, second, third, and eleven place feature finishers. The event is also round two of the Advance Fastening Supply (AFS) Challenge. A $1,500 bonus awaits McDermand if he can win the event. If McDermand fails to win the event, all drivers competing at both events (the previous Sycamore event on September 5) will split up the bonus equally. Chase McDermand holds a 22-point lead over Nick Baran heading to the season finale.
Saturday's event at Sycamore will determine the 2020 Track Champions for the Super Late Models, Street Stocks, and Pure Stocks. General admission gates open at 6:00 pm, with qualifying at 6:30, with racing to follow.
