"Felker back in victory lane at Sycamore"

Sycamore, Ill., June 2---Missouri’s Andrew Felker won the 25-lap Zimbrick Chevrolet of Sun Prairie Badger Midget Racing Series feature Saturday Night at Sycamore Speedway. The event was co-sanctioned with the POWRi Lucas Oil Regional Midget Series.

The victory was the fifth career Badger feature win for Felker who drove the RAB Racing owned Spike/Esslinger Ford No. 57. Felker took the lead on the ninth lap from Jack Routson, finishing ahead of: Kevin Olson, Scott Hatton, series points leader Tyler Baran and Ryan Probst. Felker’s most recent Badger victory came on June 22, 2014.

Earlier in the evening Hatton set a new one-lap midget track record of 15.336 seconds topping the field in qualifying. Ray Seach claimed the Advance Race Suspensions Hard Charger award improving eleven starting positions to finish in seventh place. Sixth place Kurt Mayhew won the Howard Law Cash Draw, a bonus for a randomly selected feature finishing position.

Racing continues for both series at Angell Park Speedway on Sunday June 3, with Baran holding a five-point lead over Hatton in Badger points.
